L IS FOR?
LAKE!
Late last month himself and I enjoyed a leisurely loiter round The Pines Garden, at St. Margaret's Bay in Kent where we lingered lazily by the lake. If you look long and hard into the background you can glimpse the landmark legendary white cliffs of Dover.
A more lucid view was to be had by taking a little walk from the garden down to the beach below ~
Lots more on the letter L over at ABC Wednesday!
A lovely lake! What a gorgeous day it looked too.
ReplyDeleteI know Kent a little but not that lake. Great water reflections. I love seeing the sky upside down in water.
ReplyDeleteI've never been to Kent or in fact any of that part of the UK so I must put that right.

I'll have that tune in my head all day now. Hubby's dream is to have a lake in the garden, we'll have to win the lottery first of course.

ReplyDeletewhat a great location for a public garden!
ReplyDeletethis is just beautiful - love it
ReplyDeleteHmm, no duckweed in that lake. My pond, on the other hand...
ReplyDeleteForever associated with "that song" (the cliffs I mean not the lake). Very iconic as you say.
ReplyDeleteConsidering I have visited Kent a number of times I'm surprised the garden has not cross my radar. Have now made a note!
What a beautiful setting for a leisurely stroll. Those cliffs are magnificent.
