'Come Fly With Me'

E IS FOR

ESCAPISM!
~ which I will be indulging in today by visiting gardens all over the globe. Today is Garden Bloggers' Day which is hosted on the fifteenth of each month over at May Dreams Gardens. There will be extraordinary examples of all sorts of plants and enthusiasm and expertise are the order of the day. No doubt engulfing February ennui will evaporate as I explore and my plant wish list will just expand and EXPAND!

Here the weather is far from exciting. As wet stuff falls from the ether photographic events are proving most elusive ~ close examination of exactly what is blooming in my outer environment is evading me. I know though that as a result of the extremely cold early winter, that there is definitely less in flower than on either the same date last February or the February before. Here though is one that I took earlier ~ yesterday to be exact of some exceptionally elegant snowdrops ~

Now why not endeavor to explore the letter E over at ABC Wednesday?

The top photograph was taken last summer at the International Garden Festival at Chaumont - sur - Loire, in France.

  1. I should love to fly away . . . to escape from this deep winter landscape. If it were not for painting and guests I might try. Gorgeous snowdrops!

  3. One really good photo of snowdrops is always worth seeing. I am in snow-covered Pennsylvania, US, but the temperature suddenly shot up and I managed to find some flowers outside. Happy GBBD, Carolyn

  4. I'm sure you were glad to see these snowdrops put in an appearance after losing some this year. I should really plant more in my garden, I only have an odd one here and there.

  5. Love the snowdrops - the ones I planted last year appear to have gone to the snowdrop graveyard, odd really when ones I inherited survived!

  15. Beautiful snowdrops, I hope in time our small scattering looks more clump-like too. I too took refuge form yet another grey wet day by travelling the globe admiring other people's blooms, and planning future blooms for my own space. Escapism is the perfect antidote to February dankness.

  19. I like the idea of an arrangement standing on a metal grill kind of surface as light could get to plants underneath. Will add to my list of garden ideas :-)

  23. Hello Anna - could not enjoin with this ABC wednesday and unlike your startlingly white patch, the snow on my drops has evaded me this year. Escaped from London yesterday as ennui got the better of me though this enjoyable entry has enlivened me.
