  1. That's a pretty one, it reminds me of seersucker material.

  2. I do like the crumpled petals - might look out for one this weekend as at least I can spot that difference!

  3. So pretty, I'm planning to go snowdrop hunting next week and now can't wait.

  4. You have Diggory! I am so jealous, it is one I've been wanting for ages. A lovely photo of it, it shows all his lovely, little dimples. Gorgeous.

  7. Thanks for all your comments. 'Diggory' is one of my favourite snowdrops possibly even my favourite. The shape is unique and the 'seersucker' effect on the petals is quite magical. He looks even better when open more fully so I will try to post another photo when this happens. Helen do go for him if you see him this weekend! Chloris - do treat yourself if you come across him - he's worth it :)

  8. I reckon 'Diggory' to be a male name, though visually 'Diggory' looks like a she.

Aside, are your snowdrops early this year - all that atlantic weather and little cold to speak of?

    1. Yes definitely a male name Rob - thoughts of 'the Secret Garden' entered my head but the lad in that book was Dickon. My specials are in the greenhouse and maybe a tad earlier than last year but the ones in the garden seem much on a par with last year.

    1. Thanks for your comment Ms. S. Hope that it's not too long before you see your spring bulbs.
