"All Nature seems at work. Slugs leave their lair
The bees are stirring, birds are on the wing,
And Winter slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of spring."

And Winter slumbering in the open air,
Wears on his smiling face a dream of spring."

Oh, what a lovely illustration. I'm dreaming of spring too, we've just had a snowstorm here and everywhere is covered in white, I'm hoping that it doesn't last.
ReplyDeleteDelightful Anna - a very mixed weather day today , snow, sleet, bright sun, gusty winds. March in like a lion!
ReplyDeleteWhat a smiley happy gardener she is. I am dreaming of spring too Anna.
ReplyDeleteLovely illustration, I can't imagine living somewhere that didn't have the expectant joy of spring.
ReplyDeletePerfect, although it is yet another dull grey cool day here today. No rain though, so I may be able to squeeze some weeding in around the work!
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely words! (Apart from the bit about the slugs, which I don't really want to see yet!) I am itching to get started clearing up the winter debris, but spring is still a couple of weeks off so I must be patient.
