Ah, Anna, (hello again) one of my favourite pinks at this time of year - especially with ornamental grasses like this. Stunning to my eyes :-)
ReplyDeleteOh it's good to hear from you Shirl :) They do look rather good in a mass planting like that and the grasses made for a perfect companion.
DeleteWe planted some echinacea on the plot this year as they came in a collection but I fear they will disappear over winter.
ReplyDeleteOh I will keep my fingers crossed that they come through the winter Sue :)
DeleteI do love to see a clump of these although sadly they don't seem to grow in my garden; optimistically I now have a little tray of achinacea seedlings though!
ReplyDeleteSame here Cathy - it's one of those plants that I just have to admire in other people's gardens.
DeleteIt's great, the downward tip of petals that last till autumn. Much better than flowers which die in the spring.
ReplyDeleteThey are certainly a fabulous shape and the flowers are stars at the this time of year Lucy :)
DeleteThey look wonderful, I have never managed to keep them over winter, I have since read that you should plant them on a mound for winter drainage. Do they survive ok with you Anna?
ReplyDeleteNo I've never had any joy either Brian. Will have to try that mound technique. Thanks for mentioning it.
DeleteNice picture, Anna! Such a contrast with background grasses!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and kind comment Tatyana. It's lovely to hear from you :) xxx
DeleteMy favorites!
ReplyDeletePerfect, but it does look quite cold?
