It seems a strange place for a head. She appears quite relaxed about it though..
ReplyDeleteShe does indeed Jessica - she looks most serene but I think that she might complain of a headache if the water level rose.
DeleteLove that, wow!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. This was one of two sculptures in the show garden which had the wow factor. I will post a photo of t'other soon :)
DeleteWhat were your impressions of the show; I saw a tiny part of it on Gardener's World and I thought the gardens looked much more interesting than is usually the case.
ReplyDeleteMalvern is my favourite show Christina because of its beautiful setting and the fact that it doesn't get too crowded. We hadn't been to the spring show for several years so really enjoyed this visit. I must admit that the floral marquee is always the highlight for me and it never fails to disappoint. There were one or two gardens that grabbed my attention including 'A Perfumer's Garden' which won the best show garden. I will try and put a post together before long :)
DeleteAt first I wasn't sure I liked the head placed here, but the more I looked at it, I realized how serene she looked. That's the same kind of peaceful feeling I get when I visit a Japanese garden, which is what this vignette reminds me of.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit and comment Rose. It was a most peaceful and calming garden to look and perhaps my close up view didn't do justice to 'The Whispering Spirit'. I will try to post a long distance view soon. I hope that you are enjoying spring.
DeleteIsn't she just Sue? A most eye-catching piece of sculpture.
ReplyDeleteGood to see this again - I liked this garden when I saw it (and Greg!) on GW
