Almost Wordless Wednesday ~ Over The Edge
A few words are needed to explain this follow up post to my latest 'In A Vase On Monday' post - this is the over the edge from where I often take my vase photos. The land on the other side of the stream is outside our boundaries - the clumps of snowdrops where there when we arrived but I've added some later colour by doing some guerilla gardening. I've lobbed some 'Tête-à-Tête' narcissus bulbs over the edge and crossed my fingers. As you can see some have survived. There is a further patch of these little daffies just out of shot together with some tall later flowering daffodils that were already growing there. A few more bulbs will be jettisoned in the direction of the bald patch later this year.

Ah, now I see what you mean. I love your novel way of guerilla gardening. I am intrigued by this patch, is it somebody else's garden?
ReplyDeleteNow then Chloris are you suggesting that a law abiding respectable citizen like myself would lob bulbs over into a neighbour's garden without permission? 😂 No the land is owned by persons unknown but as there has been no attention paid to it for many years nature has just got on with the job and I've simply let nature a hand.
DeleteGreat guerilla gardening! Like Chloris, I wonder about this patch.
ReplyDeleteThank you Peter. The land belongs to an unknown and very absent landlord/landlady :)
DeleteHow far down is it....I've heard of Victorians making soil balls with seeds in and using a catapult to shoot them at cliffs...as you have the advantage of height, maybe just a good bowling action would suffice. This little patch of wilderness is really pretty.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably about a fifteen foot drop Noelle. Mmmm now seed balls - there's food for thought. Thanks for the idea :)
DeleteDo you plant to lob anything more over the edge?
ReplyDeleteThere are some embroyonic plans Sue. Watch this space :)
DeleteUnlike you to live dangerously, Anna - take care with your lobbing!
ReplyDeleteThere's an element of wild child lurking just beneath the surface Cathy :)
DeleteGood guerilla gardening !
ReplyDeleteMany thanks for your encouraging words Brian :)
