  2. Love those Irises. Always thought it was such an unusual colour for a flower. They make me think of a long, floaty, summer skirt.

  3. Nice isn't it? I might pinch this idea.... :)

  4. How wonderful and fresh they look. I am coming to the conclusion that iris historides is better in pots than in the garden. The few that have reappeared in my borders this year look bedraggled and mud splattered from the rain.

  5. They're beauties. I should really try to get this variety as my mum's name is Sheila.

  6. They are gorgeous! Lovely basket and lovely colour. Mine have done a lot better in pots this year and also in my window boxes.

  8. I haven't really got any iris in the garden not for any particular reason other than I can't have everything, but this really makes me think of having some for pots next year. These are beautiful! Did you go to this show yesterday and have I missed a post? Must check and see.

  11. So lovely. I must plant up a pot of irises for next year. I wonder if they would like my free draining soil out the front too? I hope you are going to add words and describe your show experience in a later post?! Some of us have to make do with virtual show visits...

  12. Ah, Anna - we were at the show on the same day! I wish I'd known so I could say hello ... although I was late going down to the show as the glorious weather tempted me into the garden first. I love these irises (wasn't the display stunning?!) and had seen them growing in the Capel Manor gardens a couple of weeks ago, the unusual colour is so unexpected but rather beautiful.
