I saw this growing in a friend's garden yesterday. It made a lovely carpet beneath her dogwoods. Thanks for showing it...I now know the name.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm glad to have been useful Noelle :)
DeleteI haven't seen this cardamine here - very pretty, and interesting leaves. We have C. pratensis growing in spring meadows in April or May.
ReplyDeleteThe foliage is certainly most attractive Cathy although some years it does get nibbled by the odd beastie. Those spring meadows must be a great sight.
DeleteIs that an evergreen?
ReplyDeleteNo Sue, the plant disappears completely underground in the summer only to re-emerge in early winter.
DeleteLovely. I have this but haven't noticed it in bloom yet.
ReplyDeleteI think mine is perhaps in sheltered spot at the base of a wall Chloris and then it is perhaps slightly milder in the north west :) I'm sure you will be enjoying yours soon.
DeleteThat's pretty Anna - does it grow in dry shade?
ReplyDeleteSorry but it's an oh I don't know in answer to your question Cathy. Mine is in a most moist spot. I know that it is certainly a shade lover but whether it will also tolerate dry shade is a mystery to me. I can always try to get a bit going in a pot for you to try :)
