In A Vase On Monday ~ Plastered Again!

The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak at the moment. No I haven't imbibed too many glasses of festive sherry or Baileys but I have my right hand in plaster again. The X-rays I had back in September which revealed a broken metacarpal failed to pick up on another fracture. I went back into plaster the week before Christmas and return to the fracture clinic in the middle of January. I have a feeling though that I may be plastered beyond then but I'm trying not to think too much about that prospect.

I have therefore slightly cheated this week and am sharing a thoughtful gift of a miniature pink rose sent by a family member when she heard about my misfortune. As always thanks to our lovely hostess Cathy over at 'Rambling In The Garden' for hosting not only today but constantly throughout 2019. Here's to a new decade of Monday vases!

  3. I am SO sorry that this is the outcome, Anna, although from the pain you were in I suspect you are not surprised. I hope the January visit shows improvement but as you say, the plastecast will very likely have to remain on for longer. All those activities you will have to neglect for all these weeks and months...I hope Greg has been able to help you with your snowdrop management. Thanks for still making the effort to share your pretty little rose today and best wishes to both of you for 2020

  4. Oh how frustrating that they missed the second one the first time! May it all heal and be stronger than ever.

  5. How annoying for you Anna. I hope it heals really quickly. A glass of sherry or two certainly won't harm though! ;-) Happy New Year!

  6. Oh no, Anna, I'm so sorry to hear that! How frustrating! I'm a bit confused though – why didn't th e'overlooked' fracture heal while the hand was in plaster? Fingers crossed that it'll mend quick, at least it's at a time of year when there's not that much to be done. Hope you've some good books to help you get through this. I'm reading 'The white umbrella' by Brian Sewell and love it. Best wishes x
