June Musing ~ Rosy Thoughts

"The serene philosophy of the pink rose is steadying. Its fragrant, delicate petals fully open and ready to fall, without regret or disillusion, after only a day in the sun. It is so every summer. One can almost here their pink, fragrant murmur as they settle down upon the grass 'Summer, summer, it will always be summer."

Illustration - by Gustav Klimt.

Words - by Rachel Peden.

  1. I have a yellow rose, rescued from winter weather, shedding its petals on my table.

  2. Lovely quotation, Anna - but that picture is stunning! I don't think I have seen it before, but I would love to see the real thing close up...

    1. Yes a rather lovely painting Cathy. I would love to see it too and wonder wether it is in public or private hands.
