WATERING CANS! ~ along with old clay pots I am quite partial to the odd watering can, as seen here earlier this year in Le Jardin de Marie - Ange. So much more welcoming than modern plastic versions.

Wander over to ABC Wednesday for more on the wondrous letter W!

  1. what an appropriate idea - fill then use to keep flowers as lovely as they are (or were, I suppose).

  2. I love your photos - very artistic! Wishing you warm thoughts for the Christmas season.

  3. What a wondrous garden!

Wishing you and your family a happy holiday!

  4. They do look very attractive. Over the years I have grown to appreciate the odd "old" object in the garden and many metals seem to age very well. Surprising really as metal seems so industrial, so anti greenery - if you see what I mean :-)

  5. I love watering cans too, plastic ones just don't do it for me.

  6. I've been after a decent watering can. My plastic one is rubbish. I went to water some seedlings in the spring and the rose had split open unbeknowns to me and water gushed out everywhere drowning my little plants. That might have to be a New Years Resolution to get a decent watering can. The old zinc ones do look lovely. Have a great Christmas.

  7. I love the look of metal watering can and keep thinking I will treat myself to one at the local flea market. The only thing which puts me off is the weight compared to a plastic one

  8. Oh, they are lovely! My favourite is a small copper watering can that 'Santa' brought one year. :)

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year! xo

  9. I love old metal watering cans (and buckets) - they have so much more character than modern ones. Have a wonderful Christmas and new year.

  10. Love your watering cans, everyone above has said it all really. You can't beat a great metal can, nothing can compare. Thank you for your lovely comments on my blog btw.

All your comments are much appreciated and treasured. I wil try to reply to everyone who leaves a comment, but it may take me a few days, especially when I start spending more time in the garden and at the lottie. I know that you will understand :) I am sure that I will also visit your blog if I have not already done so.
