Y IS FOR?

YOUNG LOVE!

We came across this couple at the RHS Garden in Rosemoor, Devon one afternoon last August. We quickly tiptoed away so as not to disturb them.

On the subject of the alphabet I came across a fascinating newspaper story today about a Google alphabet found in Britain's hedgerows, roads and buildings. The young woman who compiled it decided to hunt down perfect Google Earth images representing all 26 letters of the alphabet whilst she was recovering from a serious road accident. It was interesting to note that she had difficulties finding K,N and especially Q. The article and all 26 photos can be seen here - do have a peek !

You can see more posts on the letter Y over on ABC Wednesday - yaaaaaaaay!

  3. I think that Q's a bit suspect! I'm trying to do something similar by finding an ABC of everyday objects. The idea was to present them all for the next round of ABC Wednesday, but I'm nowhere near finished yet!

  13. Young love is cute, but the Google earth alphabet is fascinating! I bet there is a better Q somewhere, though.

  15. Anna I remember seeing something similar when i visited Rosemoor gardens many years ago travelling between Guildford and Falmouth. It was a long deviation but I so enjoyed the garden.

Your link was amusing and just shows with an active mind even with a body that doesn't respond one can achieve all sorts of things.

I have been known to follow the coastal path from Glylingvase to Trebah Cornwall through google in an idle moment.
