'Big Wheel Keep On Turning'

F IS FOR?

FERRIS WHEEL!

This is the Ferris wheel which graced Liverpool's Chavasse Park in December last year, providing much fun for families and friends alike. A more permanent structure is to be erected on Liverpool's fabulous water front later this year.

For more on the letter F fly over to ABC Wednesday.

  8. if memory serves, I think the 1st Ferris wheel was built for the 1893 exposition in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

love the use of the Proud Mary lyrics - John Fogerty would be pleased.

  9. Nice photos. I've always been leery of ferris wheels and preferred to keep my feet on the ground. Excellent F choice!sterid

  16. Wow, that is some structure! I love the architectural quality of the second photo.

It brings back memories of going on a ferris wheel as a teenager and being exhilerated and petrified at the same time!

  20. It's such a long time since I went on a Ferris wheel! Those temporary structures scare me, but I'm planning to go on the London Eye sometime this year!
