Just A Sunday Stroll

J IS FOR?

JETTY!

On Sunday himself and I walked round Lake Derwentwater in Cumbria - it took us a lot longer than the little launch that tours the lake in fifty minutes, stopping to put down and pick up at seven little jetties along the lakeshore. It was a tad choppy out there though so I was glad to be on terra firma, even though my feet were rather tired at the end of our little jaunt.

Just jump over to ABC Wednesday now for more on the most jolly letter J.

  1. I bet it did take longer than fifty minutes, my feet would have been tired too. Lovely photo.

  3. What a beautifully peaceful scene! Yes, I imagine you'd need warm clothing out there on the lake.

On behalf of the team, thanks for taking part in ABC Wednesday this week! :)

  6. What a pretty view! That looks like it would've been a loooong walk.

  7. Walking in beautiful places just has a way of invigorating us - even if we can't move later! I talked to a man one time who told me he thought the secret to his long marriage was their morning walks. I think he may have something there. :-)

  8. I went out to the end of a jetty in Corpus Christi, Texas at sunrise once. Quite beautiful to be so near the water, surrounded on three sides.
    Great selection.

  9. What a beautiful scene, Anna! Was this taken in the Lake District? Sorry you didn't get to see any daffodils in bloom while there, but what a thrill it must have been to walk where Wordsworth once walked. A visit there is on my "bucket list."
