B IS FOR?

BIRD BOX!

A bird would have no problem finding its way back here to this bright nesting box, fashioned in the style of a pillar box . These beautifully made bird boxes were on sale at the Arley Hall Garden Festival last summer. Too expensive for my budget but still one can look albeit briefly.

Be sure to be quick and make your way over to ABC Wednesday where lots of folk have beavered away, to bamboozle you with lots more on the letter B!

  1. Thinking about bird boxes is believing that eventually, spring will come (although we have another cold spell at this moment ;-)!)

  3. Very nice bird box, I think 35 pounds is expansive but justifiable.

  4. What a BRILLIANT BIRD BOX. We call them "bird houses" and a group of my friends gave me one that is like a schoolhouse, complete with my name and grade (A+)...LOL

  5. I wonder if the birds are colour blind.

  6. Anna, That is one elegant bird box if I ever saw one - my husband makes bird houses that are terribly humble and most of them are occupied in the Spring. Last year we had two families of Western Bluebirds - so fun watching them! Good bamboozling "b"!

  7. Just today a man working at my neighbor's house found an old birdhouse in her yard. She gave it to me. It is well made and looks like it was painted at one time. I think I will paint it with bright colors - I hope the birds will like it.

  8. Hi Anna and happy B day, get it? Yes, just my lame attempt at humor. :) Now with cameras so small and easy to take along, I take photos like this all the time. When the subject is beyond my price range it's nice to have a photo of it to entertain me.

  10. My daughter took a tissue box and made it into a bird box. I must say, yours is nicer.

  11. What a cute little birdhouse. Too bad the rent was so high.

  12. If I were a little bird and that was my house, I would have to puff my chest out and strut around just a little :)

    Adorable!

  13. This is so pretty bird box! But I’m not sure if birds would like it... for a garden decoration it would definitely serve its purpose.

  14. I love it. The price is a little steep, but they say you pay for what you get.

  15. I'd LOVE a bird box like that, but as you say, it's a bit pricey. By now I expect you'll realise why I'd like it. I use pillar boxes as my avatar in various places.

  16. Interesting bird box - I've never seen one like it - if I were a bird, I believe I'd love it, for sure!

  17. Hi Anna

The birds could do with feed and shelter during these cold spells.

I like the address 'Beacon Lodge'.
