'Purple Haze'

“First a howling blizzard woke us,
Then the rain came down to soak us,
And now before the eye can focus –
Crocus.”
- Lilja Rogers

Well although we have escaped the howling blizzard in this neck of the woods, my crocuses are now well and truly croaking. This is 'Firefly' growing in a pot.

  4. Thanks Easygardener. I am glad that the poem made you chuckle :) It always makes me smile.

Monica - they are hard not to love :)

Welcome Ariel-el and Alice - it's great to see you here and thanks for your comments.

Aerie-el, as you say time does fly - hard to believe that we are already in March. I hope that you do not have too long a wait before your crocuses start to croak.

Alice, I am not aware of that melianthus so will have to look it up. I wonder if it is available this side of the pond.

Do you mean the little photos with the captions at the bottom of each post ? If so it is not a Google feature. It is a widget that you can find out more about here : www.linkwithin.com/learn
